About Sterling Talent

Sterling Talent  Inc. was founded in April, 1982 by Rebecca Stroebel in Portland, Oregon.  At the time the agency was founded she was a veteran of the entertainment industry, having completed a ten year career as a professional entertainer.  During her performance career she gained valuable insights into the larger picture of the entertainment industry, and brought into this new venture definite impressions of what  a competent and professional talent agency should be.  Becky Stroebel was selected as “Outstanding Woman in Music” for 1987 and 1988 by Performance Magazine, a major national publication and resource in the music industry.
 
Maria Beatty, joined Sterling Talent in 1989. She brings to the company a deep commitment to her community which was highlighted during her reign as a member of Portland’s Rose Festival Court.  Maria’s talents in the area of customer service, artist management, concert production and event coordination have given her the foundation for her recent promotion to Director of Corporate Planning and Special Events for the company. 
 
Julianna Montgomery heads our newest office in Seattle. Prior to joining Sterling Talent, Inc., Montgomery gained valuable experience as Chief Operations Officer with boutique record company, Maurice The Fish Records and managed her own music production and talent consulting company, BooJu Productions for 15 years.  Since 1992 she has been a professional musician and vocalist for successful Seattle, Denver and Portland-based bands  which include the popular “Maurice The Fish”. Julianna has also worked as a professional event planner with the US Olympics, DaimlerChrysler and ScottishPower.
 
The business activities of Sterling Talent are varied in scope and nature.  The agency focuses on booking entertainment for corporate and convention clients, booking of national acts, international talent booking as well as numerous fairs, concert series, festivals, resorts, weddings and other private functions. Sterling Talent is the exclusive booking agency for the Ft. Vancouver Celebrate Freedom 4th Of July Celebration in Vancouver, Washington featuring the largest 4th of July celebration West of the Mississippi. 

In 2007, Sterling Talent expanded it’s services to clients by adding a full range of consulting, catering and event planning options as well as a new lineup of theme shows and motivational speakers.
 
The basic founding philosophy of Sterling Talent  Inc. has proven correct and continues today.  Stated simply, it is “to maintain standards of performing excellence, consistently assuring clients of the best performers available; within a climate of service and with a dedication to honesty”..
