Bex

Sterling Talent Inc. is proud to announce the return to the Pacific Northwest of one of the region's most exciting rising artists, Shannon Bex!

Shannon has had an enviable journey from her early performance days as one of the Portland Trailblazer dancers and front woman for the ever popular "5 Guys Named Moe" band. Since that time, she has won the hearts of millions of television viewers as a contestant, and finally first runner up on the NBC reality show "Fame".

From there, she was chosen by "Bad Boy" records President Sean "Diddy" Combs to be on the MTV hit reality show "Making The Band". The great news is that Shannon did make the band and became a member of the multiplatinum selling group "Danity Kane".

Danity Kane’s freshman and sophomore albums released at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, placing them in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first female group in Billboard history to debut two consecutive albums at the top of the charts.

As a member of Danity Kane, Bex toured with Christina Aguilera, headlined the Danity Kane “Dollhouse” tour, was a featured Visa Splash artist and helped design a Danity Kane line with Dollhouse Jeans Clothing.

Along with their chart topping singles “Damaged” & “Showstopper” Danity Kane was nominated for many VMA, Soul Train, and BET awards. Though the group had international recognition and saw much success in their 4 years together, Sean Combs disbanded the group in 2009.

Shannon's newest and most exciting project to date is the creation of her own band, Bex! The valuable experience Shannon garnered during her five seasons on national television, coupled with her careful attention to every detail of the band's unique sound and performance style have given birth to a musical entity that is not only gaining many regional fans, but will soon be featured on national stages from coast to coast.

Bex has been described as “rhythmic country” modern mix of R&B with the roots of southern soul. A full 5-piece band with 3 part harmonies, the stage is where this group comes alive. High energy and performance was the drive in writing and defining Bex. The sound created reveals the true heart of the
performers. “We are entertainers, it’s about giving a good show! Creating music that moves us and the audience is so important, it has to get into you,” says Bex.

Even if you can’t dance you’ll be moving when Bex hits the stage.
