The Body and Soul Reunion
Body & Soul (the band changed it's name from Salmon Dave in 1989) was Portland's premiere Motown and funk band of the late 80s and early 90s.
Known for a crowd pleasing song list (Aretha Franklin, Four Tops, Temptations, Supremes, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, etc.) as well as a powerful stage show, the group is fronted by lead singers Linda Hornbuckle and Mark Bosnian.
The 10 piece band includes a horn section, 4 singers and one of the funkiest rhythm sections in town. Body & Soul performed at the opening of the Oregon Convention Center and Portland Center for the Performing Arts and the singers performed the National Anthem numerous times at Portland Trailblazer games.
The band also performed the Bosnian penned song Wrap Your Heart live on the NBC Today Show and the Pat Sajak Show.
