Global FM is a five-piece band that is all about fun. Constantly interacting with the audience, Global FM plays a variety of music bringing something for everyone, from classic favorites to the newest hits. Whether it's rock, pop, country or Motown, this group of experienced, professional musicians will have you dancing all night with their lively performances and beautiful harmonies.
Leading the vocal work is Becky Pershing, easily one of Portland's finest vocalists. Becky Pershing has sung for some of the Northwest's top blues and big bands and knows just what it takes to take an audience from moving in their seats to shaking it on the dance floor. Combining a sultry and engaging voice with a real sense of comedic timing, she never fails to make everyone feel like they are truly a part of the show.
From Dodge City Kansas, Michelle Kuepker brings lead and harmony vocals with the addition of percussion and dancing finesse that is always contagious. She also has an impressive musical resume, having sung and written with some top original acts.
On guitar and vocals is Dan Johnson, a recent California transplant, has wowed audiences all up and down the west coast with his playing. A unique and versatile player, he brings many styles, incorporating slide guitar and dobro, twangy western and full rock tones.
Bringing the low end is Steve Kuepker, who has been said to steer the music like the rudder on a ship. Delivering bass lines that are solid, steady and smooth, he will have the audience moving from beginning to end.
Finally on drums is Craig Ostbo. Having lived up and down the west coast, we are thankful that Craig has made Portland his home, because he brings a drumming skill that is truly world class. From playing, recording and touring with top names, to producing many albums and video projects, Craig is the driving force behind Global FM's rhythm section.
