Marilyn Monroe Impersonator, Karen Motherway, has performed for hundreds of corporate events, private parties and performance venues since 1990, She has performed in Las Vegas, Hollywood, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, British Columbia, Alaska and all around The Greater Pacific Northwest where she now resides.
In 2001 Karen won the Grand Prize, a diamond necklace valued at $10,000 in the “Ripley’s Believe it or Not Marilyn Monroe Body Double Contest” in Hollywood Ca. Marilyn Monroe Photographers George Barris and Joseph Jasgur judged the contest together with Marilyn Monroe fan club members.
Karen’s career as a tribute artist began in 1989 when she won the first of many celebrity look-alike contests and began making public appearances as Marilyn Monroe. Since that time Karen has appeared in film (Marilyn’s Man 2005) commercials (Club Hollywood Casino, 13 coins), casinos, dinner theaters and corporate events for companies such as Microsoft, Comcast and Nokia.
Karen has performed in tribute shows such as Rock and Roll Legends and The Rat Pack Is Back. She has been featured in The LA times and The National Examiner, numerous regional papers and several books including “Dying to be Marilyn”, by Yvette Paris and “Karen, Le Visage D’Une Star” a novel by Quebec Author, Daniel Cadrin.
