Maureen Love

Maureen Love, nationally known professional harpist and recording artist began her classical training at the age of nine in Los Angeles, California. She was awarded three music scholarships, one to the University of Southern California where she was chosen soloist with the Symphony Orchestra performing Ravel's "Introduction and Allegro".

As evidence of her versatility, her repertoire encompasses an unusually broad range of music from Baroque (Bach, Vivaldi) to Broadway, to Sacred and a smattering of jazz.

Her music is a rich blend of emotion, warmth and sensitivity as well as strength. confidence and technical virtuosity, rarely heard on the instrument.

Recognized as one of the West Coast's most accomplished harpists, the following examples of Maureen's performances highlight the diversity of her talents:

•International Women's Forum at the Portland Art Museum
•Opening Ceremony - House of Representatives, Capitol Building, Salem, Oregon
•Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts, 1985 - 1989
